Types of scaffolding nets

Industrial netting is a crucial component in production. Tight scaffolding netting supports construction workers, provides protection for the construction site, and, when wrapped around the scaffolding, provides sufficient time for the curing of concrete and gravel.

Existing scaffolding netting is made of three materials: polypropylene netting, polyethylene netting (PE), and polyvinyl chloride netting (PVC).

Polypropylene netting is primarily used for scaffolding maintenance, concrete curing, and preventing dust and debris from flying. It is lightweight and easy to clean and deform. It is a superior material that resists burning and produces no harmful substances, resulting in a long service life.

Polyethylene netting (PE) is less expensive than polypropylene netting, has a softer texture, and is easily shaped. It is suitable for temporary protection and can also be used in agricultural applications. However, its strength and aging resistance are limited.

PVC netting is the thickest and most abrasion-resistant material. It is suitable for heavy-duty isolation and site isolation. However, due to its material properties, the mesh may become brittle at low temperatures.

According to the relevant regulations of the European Union, it involves
EN 1263-1 (Safety requirements and test methods for safety nets and accessories to protect against deeper falls during construction and assembly. Materials: Specifies that materials used in nets should not show a significant reduction in mechanical properties between \(-10^{\circ }C\) and \(+40^{\circ }C\). Net Classes: Defines different classes of nets, such as Class A and Class B, based on their energy absorption (EA or EB) and mesh size (lM). Safety Net Systems: Details four main systems for installing safety nets: System S: Safety net with a border rope. System T: Safety net attached to brackets for horizontal use. System U: Safety net attached to a supporting framework for vertical use. System V: Safety net with a border rope attached to a gallows-type support. ),
EN 1263-2 (he fall-arrest safety nets are collective protective equipment (CPE) intended to protect persons and/or objects against falls from a Height. Consisting of a connection of nylon meshes or plastic materials, they are supported by a rope on the edge anchored with suitable elements, in order to prevent a person’s fall.) Compliance with these standards is an important way to provide a presumption of compliance with essential regulatory requirements.

The DPP, which contains product performance information, will serve as a "digital ID" for construction products circulating in the EU market. It will also include data such as carbon footprint and environmental footprint, which is particularly important for projects with green procurement requirements.

The EU has previously strengthened the obligations of economic operators such as manufacturers, importers, and distributors. This means that procedures are in place to demonstrate product compliance at every stage, from production to sales.

If you have suggestions and knowledge regarding the use of scaffolding nets, we can discuss this together.
